Our Story
Khushtar Heritage Collective was born from a deep-rooted belief that heritage is not just about preserving the past, but about empowering communities for the future. Founded by conservation engineer and heritage advocate Khushi, the Collective emerged as a response to the urgent need for sensitive, community-driven conservation solutions in India.
With a special focus on underrepresented narratives and inclusive development, we aim to ensure that heritage remains a living, breathing part of our shared identity. From the intricate lanes of Ahmedabad to the forgotten forts of Rajasthan, our journey is one of resilience, collaboration, and hope.
At Khushtar, we don’t just conserve heritage—we nurture it.

I.V.Y. AFRICA Interregional Volunteer Youth for Heritage and Climate Action
MadEx - The Madagascar Experience
The regional capacity building, evaluation and planning meeting will promote and support the
development of youth cooperation and volunteering efforts for heritage and climate action in
Africa. With a holistic methodological blending of experts inputs, peer and experiential learning,
the activity will guarantee that participants representing 25 African heritage sites highly affected
by climate change will gain new knowledge, develop specific skills, and discuss different values
and perspectives towards a common volunteer exchange framework for youth action for heritage
preservation in Africa and beyond.
